Shelly is an AVP, Sr. Underwriting Specialist on Gen Re's Life & Health Chief Actuary team, specializing in Individual Life Risk Management. Prior to this role, she spent more than 10 years on the Individual Life Underwriting team as a large case underwriter and financial underwriting specialist. Shelly began her life insurance underwriting career as a direct underwriter with Farmers Insurance Group before moving into facultative reinsurance underwriting, initially with RGA, and later joining Gen Re in 2012. Shelly earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from The Ohio State University and holds both the FALU and FLMI professional designations.
