Gen Re currently offers an opportunity for an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Architect in our Stamford, CT office.

Your Role

Develop strategies and implement optimal identity and access solutions using identity systems and security. Serve as principle architect engineer and manage a global team of FTEs and consultants for the IAM support. Apply strong logic and principles-based reasoning to define solutions and justify proposals. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the information security strategy. Work with other IT leads to ensure Identity and Access Security is appropriately addressed in definition, design, implementation and operation of all IT services, systems and platforms. Research, design and advocate for IAM architectures and solutions supporting security requirements of the company, clients, business partners and vendors. Maintain familiarity with IT security vulnerabilities, threats, exploits and mitigations and act as key member of the GenRe IT Security Team. Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week, 9am‑5pm.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems or a closely related field plus 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the technology field. In lieu of a Bachelors degree, employer will accept candidates with a Masters degree in computer science, information systems or a closely related field and 3 years of experience in the technology field.

Of the required experience, the applicant must have 7 years of experience in IAM technologies, standards, and practices with any combination of the following: LDAP, x509, Kerberos, RBAC, Privileged Access Management(PAM), Radius, SAML, OAuth2, OpenID connect, Multi-factor Authentication, Single‑sign‑on.

Of the required experience, the applicant must have 5 years of experience in:

  • Operating any combination of Federation Technologies like ADFS, Ping, Okta, or similar;
  • Managing AD IDs with IBM Identity Manager;
  • Managing identities for SAP; and
  • Programming languages such as Java, Python, Powershell.

Of the required experience, the applicant must have 4 years of experience with regulatory and compliance regimes such as Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), HIPPA, or NASD.

Of the required experience, the applicant must have 1 year of experience in:

  • SAP IAM;
  • NIST or ISO‑27000.

Applicant must be familiar with:

  • Integrating AD into Enterprise IAM solutions; and
  • Cloud identity providers such as Azure AD, AWS IAM.

While Telecommuting is allowed for this role, candidate must be willing and able to physically work at the Stamford, CT office as required for the role.
