Tanya is a pricing actuary with extensive experience in pricing and product development for individual and group mortality and morbidity business. Tanya joined the Canadian team after spending 8 years working for Gen Re’s South African business during which time she served on the ASISA Group Risk Standing Committee in South Africa and the fellowship examiners’ team for the Actuarial Society of South Africa. Prior to joining Gen Re in 2014, Tanya worked for Aviva Health in the UK as well as Munich Re in London. Tanya holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Actuarial Science from the University of Stellenbosch and became a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in 2010.
