Loraine is a clinical geneticist, pediatrician and insurance physician, and Gen Re's Chief Medical Officer - Global Claims. She previously served as Regional Chief Medical Officer - Canada, with responsibilities for the Canada, South Africa, Australia, NZ, UK & Ireland segment. Loraine trained in Clinical Genetics at the University of Michigan and worked as a geneticist in the US and Canada. Her broad global expertise includes multidisciplinary collaboration in all Life/Health product lines (supporting partners in Underwriting, Claims, Product development, Actuarial, Training, Risk Management, and Innovation). Previous leadership roles included Global Chief Medical Director, Sun Life, and Chief Medical Director, LGA and RBC Insurance. Loraine currently serves on the SOA Underwriting Issues and Innovation Seminar Program Committee, and the ACLI Medical Section Meeting Program Committee. Loraine holds the following designations: MD, FRCPC, CCMG, FACMG.
