Gary Wong joined Gen Re in January 2024; he is currently covering the life underwriting and claims function for the Hong Kong market. He has more than 23 years of underwriting and claims management experience in the Life/Health insurance and reinsurance sectors, including working at a local insurer covering the high net worth underwriting function, serving new business and onboarding activities for multiple channels including brokers, bancassurance and agency. He has had tenures with several reinsurers in Asia covering underwriting and claims functions for multiple markets including Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Gary earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, and he is an Associate of the Academy of Life Underwriting, an Associate of Life & Health Claims and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.
