General Reinsurance, Paris Branch (a subsidiary of General Reinsurance AG) has an excellent opportunity for an Account Executive / Underwriter in our Paris P&C department.
The team member of the Paris Treaty Marketing and Underwriting Team is responsible for the development and profitability of our Non-Life treaty business in France, Belgium and other territories. The position has specific responsibility for client service activities for the region.
In this position, you will have a dual function, technical and commercial:
To that extent, Gen Re is looking for an underwriter who can price and underwrite reinsurance treaties, across different lines of business. As Account Executive, you will also be required to actively create and develop relationships with clients and prospects, generate and retain profitable treaty business. You will negotiate directly with clients.
You will work with clients to design appropriate reinsurance solutions based on clients’ portfolios and on their Solvency II needs.
Problem solving, critical thinking and the ability to go beyond the obvious are key characteristics for this role.
