General Re Life currently offers an excellent opportunity for a Market Research Analyst in our Portland, ME office (remote work possible for appropriately qualified individual).

Your Role

As a Market Research Analyst, this individual will be called upon to assist with various tasks related to Gen Re’s leading industry benchmarking studies and proprietary research, as well as ad hoc projects. This will require developing questionnaires, soliciting participation, sample management, entering and verifying the data, analyzing, proofreading, reporting and presenting the results.

This individual may also be responsible for assisting internal partners by providing support with presentations and reports incorporating research data. This will involve retrieval and compilation of data from Gen Re research or secondary sources, designing appropriate presentation or report design, and determining key takeaways through detailed analysis.

Your Profile

  • College Degree
  • Market research background preferred with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Experience conducting quantitative and/or qualitative research projects
  • Knowledge of Behavioral Economics concepts desirable
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills; intermediate to advanced level
  • Ability to work independently and/or in collaboration with team members
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients, including key research contacts
  • Strong grammatical skills and ability to write reports and blog posts in a well thought out manner
  • Ability to visualize and create enticing presentations; graphic design skills desirable
  • Comfortable delivering presentations and/or webinars to internal and external contacts
  • Desire to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Detail orientated and organized
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • Creative, analytical thinker who welcomes a challenge
