Claims Administration Assistant

General Reinsurance, London Branch (a subsidiary of General Reinsurance AG) now has an excellent opportunity for you to join the London office as a Claims Administration Assistant.

The successful candidate will support the London Claims Team in the management of an efficient workflow process by ensuring that claims advices and movements are set up promptly within the core systems, including the allocation of appropriate documentation where applicable. In addition, they will manage the team’s general administrative tasks, including expense reporting. We will provide training so the successful candidate can develop their understanding of the handling of reinsurance claims by taking on a small number of claims.

Job Description:

  • Review and establish claims notifications in the system
  • Process payments and reserves within authority level
  • File documents electronically and monitor development of claims where appropriate
  • Run claims and MI reports as required as well as assisting with ad-hoc data analysis
  • Assist in all other general claims administration and processing functions to ensure efficient workflow within the team
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with the underwriting and finance teams

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Positive and hard-working attitude
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Excellent Excel skills are essential
  • Ability to learn quickly with good attention to detail
  • The role requires proficient use of various internal systems on which training will be given
  • We are looking for a team player and good communicator
  • Willingness to learn and develop
