Gen Re Announces Stephane Julien Joins Marketing and Account Management Team; Tom Coleman To Retire

Stamford, CT, January 6, 2015 - Gen Re is pleased to announce that Stephane Julien has assumed a Second Vice President, Account Executive role with the Marketing and Account Management team for Individual Life and Critical Illness products. Stephane will be based out of the Stamford, Connecticut office, reporting to Joe Atamaniuk, Vice President, Marketing and Account Management.
“Stephane is a valuable addition to our marketing and account management team,” said Jim Greenwood, Senior Vice President, Individual Products. “He has over 15 years experience in the Life insurance industry, in both Canada and the U.S. and has been an actuary with Gen Re since 2008. He is well informed about our Individual Life business, and his actuarial background offers our clients a unique perspective and a deeper understanding of their business challenges.”
Before joining Gen Re, Stephane worked in the product development and pricing area at Ameriprise Financial in Minneapolis, and prior to that served as a pricing and marketing actuary for Transamerica Re in Charlotte, NC. Stephane is succeeding Tom Coleman, Vice President, Senior Account Executive, who retires from Gen Re in February 2015. “Tom has been a key member of the marketing and account management team at Gen Re since he joined the company over 15 years ago and has over 40 years in the insurance industry,” said Greenwood. “He will be missed greatly by our team, his clients and many friends in the industry.”
