Jennifer is the Chief Investment Officer at NEAM, Inc. and a member of the Firm’s Policy Committee. She is responsible for oversight of our fixed income and equity trading, research, and investment operations. She joined the Firm in 2007 and, prior to her current position, served as Head of Structured Securities. Before joining NEAM, she was Head of Structured Research at Conning Asset Management and a Managing Director at Structured Finance Advisors. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Finance from McGill University, has an MBA in Finance from New York University and is a CFA Charterholder. She has been employed in the investment industry since 1986.

He is a contributing opinion writer for the Financial Times and The New York Times. His 2018 book "The Once and Future Worker: A Vision for the Renewal of Work in America" has been called “absolutely brilliant” by New York Times columnist David Brooks and “a brilliant book. And among the most important I’ve ever read” by Vice President JD Vance. From 2005 to 2015, Oren worked as a management consultant in Bain & Company’s Boston and Delhi offices. During this period, he also earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he was elected vice president and treasurer of the Harvard Law Review and oversaw the journal’s budget and operations. While still in law school, Oren also became Domestic Policy Director for Governor Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign, editing and producing the campaign’s “jobs book” and developing its domestic policy strategy, proposals, and research. He joined the Manhattan Institute as a senior fellow in 2015 and became a prolific scholar, publishing more than 15 reports for MI and editing its popular “Issues 2016” and “Issues 2020” series, testifying before seven congressional committees and speaking on dozens of college campuses. He founded American Compass at the start of 2020.

Charlie is Chairman of General Re Corporation, our parent company, and has more than 39 years of industry experience across the life & health and property & casualty insurance and reinsurance industries in the U.S., Europe and Australasia. Prior to joining Gen Re, Charlie held various senior vice president positions at AIG, Inc. in New York from 2007-2018, including as CEO of the Life, Health and Disability businesses, CEO of the Legacy Segment and Corporate Chief Actuary. From 2003-2007, Charlie was with the Munich Re Group in Munich and was the group’s first Chief Risk Officer. He holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Macquarie University in New South Wales, Australia, and is a Fellow of The Institute of Actuaries of Australia.

Kara is President and CEO of General Re Corporation, having joined the group in 2016. Previously, Kara spent 16 years in Berkshire Hathaway’s Reinsurance Division in Stamford, CT, where she prospected reinsurance and insurance opportunities and priced loss portfolio transfers and acquisitions. During this tenure, she was responsible for Guard Insurance Group, the Division’s India reinsurance portfolio, Berkshire Hathaway’s financial guaranty insurer, BHAC. Kara also established a California Workers’ Compensation portfolio for National Liability & Fire Insurance Company. Kara began her career in 1994 with CIGNA Property & Casualty in Philadelphia, PA. She obtained an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Ursinus College and is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society.

Richard is the Chief Executive Officer of CNAS. He served as President of CNAS from 2012-2019 and as Senior Fellow from 2009-2012. Prior to CNAS, he was foreign policy advisor to Senator John McCain and worked at the State Department, the National Security Council (NSC), and on the staff of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Richard served as foreign policy advisor to the McCain 2008 presidential campaign and subsequently as the minority deputy staff director on the Senate Armed Services Committee. Prior to that, he served as Associate Director for Near Eastern Affairs at the NSC from 2003-2004. He also worked on Southeast Asian issues in the NSC’s Asian Affairs directorate. At the State Department, Richard worked for the deputy secretary and in the department’s South Asia bureau. Richard began his foreign policy career as a staff member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, focusing on the Middle East and South Asia. He also spent a year teaching English in Japan. Richard currently serves as executive director of the Trilateral Commission and on the Defense Policy Board. He has been an adjunct professor in the security studies program at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. A native of New Orleans, Richard graduated summa cum laude with a BA in international relations from Tulane University. He also holds an MA in international affairs from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, and he attended Oxford University.
