Clinical studies have been trying to shed light onto the consequences for morbidity and mortality, but the individual extent to which patients are affects varies considerably. Some promising SARS‑CoV‑2 vaccines raise public hope in the fight of the pandemic.
In the present edition of Underwriting Focus please read about in-body processes triggered by the virus, implications for treatment, different approaches to vaccine development and considerations concerning vaccine safety, registration and distribution.
We added an article on the influence of the pandemic of an individual’s mental health, plus a text on recommendations for the handling of new diseases like COVID‑19 in underwriting – when only little evidence exists.
