Life/Health General Manager, Hong Kong
Orchis is the General Manager of Gen Re’s Hong Kong Branch. She has more than 20 years of experience in the Hong Kong insurance market, with a focus on product development. Orchis joined Gen Re in 2015 and is responsible for the management of the Hong Kong branch and regional/group offices’ client relationships. Orchis is also responsible for driving forward Gen Re’s insurtech strategy in Asia and the analytics & development of Critical Illness products for the Asian markets. Prior to joining Gen Re, Orchis worked with a number of multinational insurance companies.
Orchis is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. She is a Councillor of the Life Insurance Council under the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers and a member of the Health Committee & Actuarial Innovation Committee under the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong. She has also been appointed as a member of the Industry Advisory Committee with the Insurance Authority.
