Gen Re Life UK and Ireland is part of the Gen Re Group. The Gen Re Group has been writing business in the UK and Ireland since 1983. We opened our London office in 1996. Currently, we have about 26 clients covering a wide spectrum of the life assurance market in these countries.
We provide reinsurance solutions for mortality business, critical illness, income protection and pre funded long term care. With the introduction of the new ABI critical illness definitions we are pleased to have re-entered the guaranteed critical illness market. We are also specialists in guaranteed income protection having grown our exposure and experience in this market considerably over the last year.
In addition to reinsurance solutions that only transfer risk, we also develop reinsurance structures that provide our clients with the means to mitigate upfront liquidity, reserving and capital strains inherent in life insurance products.
