The Australian Disability Insurance market has found itself in a precarious position in recent years. Ever since the effects of the global economic crisis began to take hold in 2010, both insurers and reinsurers have been affected, with reported losses in the hundreds of millions of USD not uncommon.

Though conditions remain challenging, there are several steps that insurers can take to improve or protect their situation. This is not just the case for insurers in Australia, but rather for all those operating in markets where parallels with the Australian product and insurance environment can be drawn.

One such market is South Africa, and in this video I discuss some of the measures our clients there may wish to consider in order to protect their bottom line.
