Senior Actuary (Strategy & Development)

Our Life/Health Asia Unit is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified professional as Senior Actuary (Strategy & Development).

Your Role:

You are a member of the Asia Life/Health team responsible for spearheading product information exchange, product innovation and product strategy.

Job Description:

  • Foster a robust exchange of innovation and new product-related information to facilitate inter-country innovations and new opportunities
  • Improve business propositions through close collaboration with the Research & Development team and Life/Health associates in the region to identify and analyze product opportunities and Gen Re capabilities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities and develop contracts for reinsurance for capital and solvency purposes
  • Perform business performance analysis and management reporting
  • Participate in regional projects from time to time


  • A qualified Actuary
  • At least 10 years’ work experience in a reinsurance company with robust product knowledge
  • Strong business acumen
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and cross-cultural teams
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently as well as a strong team player

This role may be based in any of our Asian offices in Singapore, Hong Kong or Shanghai, depending on the location of talent. We offer a performance-based remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
